LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Forty-six years ago Ivan Schneider, successful Manhattan lawyer, bought himself the Jaguar convertible that would feature in a most unusual tale of unrequited love.
There was no word of Ivan Schneider’s lost Jaguar convertible for 46 years, until one routine export check provided officials with a lead. This lead, however, was already headed for Europe on a cargo ship.
After finally tracking down Schneider’s long lost love, police were able to return the car back to Southern California from it’s trek overseas to the Netherlands. An ordeal for the car, perhaps, but a much more traumatic ordeal for Schneider, himself, who should soon be reunited with his Jaguar convertible, which, he says, has always been his “prettiest”.
