Screen Shot 2016-07-11 at 12.14.54 PM At the annual 2016 Toy Fair, Mattel came out with the full female Ghostbusters crew in collectible  figure form. The star-studded 2016 movie cast includes Melissa McCarthy as Abby Yates, Kate McKinnon as Jillian Holtzmann, Leslie Jones as Patty Tolan, and Kristen Wiig as Erin Gilbert. With the hype for the all-female cast, these figures are sure to be a hit!
Screen Shot 2016-07-13 at 12.21.48 PM One of the most noteworthy scenes in the movie is when Gozer tells the Ghostbusters to choose the form of “The Destructor.” Ironically, Ray Stanz brings forth the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man that the Ghostbusters team must now battle. Having been one of the “biggest” antagonists in the movie (pun intended), multiple collectibles have come out since the release of the movie. This Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, standing at 16” tall and made by NECA Reel Toys is priced at $115, and this lucky Gemr user already has it in his collection!

Screen Shot 2016-07-13 at 12.33.16 PM The Real Ghostbusters was an animated TV series that aired two years after the Ghostbusters movie in 1984. It lasted from 1986 to 1991 and aired new episodes each weekday. In 2006, Sony Pictures released multiple DVD volumes of the show. What better way to prepare yourself for the new movie than to watch the complete TV series first!
