Bill Cosby to Loan Art Collection to Smithsonian – ABC News

As if we all needed another reason to love Bill Cosby, he decides to share his personal art collection with the world through an exhibition at the Smithsonian Institution.  Cosby has long been a collector of African-American Art and over time has acquired quite an  impressive collection over the last forty years that exceeds 300 pieces.

His entire collection of artwork will be on display at The Smithsonian’s National Museum of African Art as part of an exhibition looking at the differences in African-American art and African art.

The exhibit “Conversations: African and African-American Artworks in Dialogue” will open Nov. 9 and will be on view through early 2016 in Washington.
