Brooklyn Museum Visitors Under 19 Will Get Free Admission

“This younger audience segment represents the future of all museums, and we must do everything possible to make it easier for them to visit,” said Arnold L. Lehman, director of the Brooklyn Museum. Starting September 3rd, the museum will provide free admission to visitors under 19 years old.

The suggested admission fee, which last increased in October 2011, has been $8 for students and free to members and visitors under 12. That year, the Museum of Modern Art raised its commission fee to $25 from $20, and the suggested admission fee at the Metropolitan Museum of Art increased to $25 from $20.
