Hey, Gemrs!

Sorry we’ve been MIA.  Gemr has been swamped with new happenings the past couple of months (all good, don’t worry!).  To sum it up, we’ve moved our office space, nearly doubled in employees (this means more cool new features), and, stating the obvious, changed our name.  Phew.  I’m out of breath just thinking about it.  It’s been a busy summer of 2014, but every change has been catapulting us in the right direction (we tested the catapults on the engineers first).  Needless to say, we’ve cheers’ed to ourselves a couple of times. #StartupLife.

Most recently, Gemr has been nominated as one of the finalists of New Hampshire High Tech Council’s Tech Out competition!

Tech Out, in NHHTC’s words, “is New Hampshire’s largest startup competition, providing half a million dollars in financing over five years to entrepreneurs with the most viable plans to develop and market new technology products or solutions.”  Out of the entire pool of applicants, Gemr made it into the second round of the competition with eight other semifinalists.  In this round, nine New Hampshire based tech start-ups presented their company pitch in front of an impressive panel of judges.  Think, New Hampshire’s version of ABC’s Shark Tank.  Gemr’s CEO received a call later that day informing us that we have been chosen to present on Oct. 2nd as finalists in the third and final round of TechOut!  Here at Gemr, we couldn’t be more excited about what we’re working on, and we love when other people are excited too! So keep showing off all your amazing stuff! Everything we do is thanks to you, our users and we can’t wait to share more of that with you soon! There is plenty coming, so get ready.

Stay tuned for the results of the final round of Tech Out on October 2nd, 2014!

Gemr is the leading platform for collectors to discover, display, discuss, and buy & sell collectibles. Sometimes our team gets chummy and decides to write a blog together. Or maybe someone wants to keep their identity a secret. Pick which option you like best and we'll just say that's correct.
