Let’s Hear it For The Numismatist of The Year!

Ronald Guth, an author, researcher, educator, collector, and “all-around good guy,” is this year’s recipient of the ANA’s Numismatist of the Year award.

Like anyone who’s good at anything, Ronald Guth has put a lot of time into the art of coin collecting.  Starting in 1964 he started collecting coins as a hobby.  He has come a long way since then as a respected author, researcher, educator, and this year’s recipient of the coveted ANA’s 2014 Numismatist of The Year.  He is also the President of PCGS CoinFacts™ (www.PCGSCoinFacts.com), an extensive online resource for collectors that includes pages for 33,483 coins with more than 5,171 individual coin narratives.  Guth is well accomplished in the field and this is far from his first award.

As for right now the proud coin collector is keeping an air of mystery, hinting, “I’m currently working on a book with broad market appeal, but the title and contents are secret for now”.
