Have it mounted on a display stand or a shadow box. You may want it to prevent it from gathering so much dust that you have to keep brushing at it, and you want it mounted securely. It will be brittle. If it drops, that'd be tragic. Here is a link to some stands. That will get you going in the right direction. http://ancientartifax.com/stands.htm

Thank you, I didn’t find it myself but I do go fossil hunting around our area, there are many fossils along the rivers. When the Limerick Power Plant was being built they found dinosaur foot prints on the grounds, held up building for a longtime lol

This box looks like a Bidri box, usually out of the India, but also the Middle East. It is the size often associated with an "occasional box" or cigarette boxes, though if it were cig box it'd probably have a wooden lining for moisture retention. The floral arabesque is the rounded floral more associated with Indian niello work (inlay) or "bidri. If you google Indian bidri box you can learn more.

That is a very cool spoon. I love all utensils but the ones that really send me are the rare Sheffield carved utility knives from the early 1900s. The one you posted is probably carved in Kenya, from ebony, a hardwood they often use for utensils.

Maybe to heat essential oils over a candle. I’ve tried different size candles and they don’t fit but it might fit in an incense burner. It’s so well made with all the flowers and it looks hand hammered. I know it’s old but it’s so odd it’s hard to research anything

I found this about 30 yrs ago and haven’t found any kind of candle to fit in it. I did think that with the ring around the center it could be a personal ashtray.

This is really cool. Love everything about it. BE SURE to use an archival mat and keep it away from sunlight if you display it. Otherwise, it'd be good to keep it sandwiched between archival board or rag paper. Definitely worth protecting. So cool.

Light Impressions, online, is where I buy my archival boxes, though there may be cheaper ones. Just get one archival box in a size that will work for your largest poster, because all the others will fit as well. You can layer Arches (or other brand) watercolor paper (must say 100%cotton rag or archival) between your posters, as you can afford. I would sign up for Michael's craft store emails because they pretty regularly send out coupons that are sometimes up to 50%off . The archival paper in between will keep the posters, which aren't archival themselves, most likely, from contaminating each other with the acid that is inherent in wood pulp based papers. Unprotected paper quickly ends up brittle, yellowed, and colors fade. Think: newspaper that gets left in the driveway for a couple of weeks...

The color of the box doesn't matter at all. All that matters is if the box is "acid free"/archival. That means it has no acids in the box itself and will be a neutral barrier. The archival paper in between protects one poster from the next, because the posters may or may not be printed on archival paper, themselves.

@greywolf69
, Just wanted to encourage you. My Dad is one of 5 adults in the US with a particular bone cancer they never see in adults. They removed a giant tumor, but couldn't even finish his rounds of chemo as it was shutting down his bone marrow. They sent him home and gave my Mom hospice instructions. She put him on a 100% organic diet, and the same proteolytic enzymes 2 other family members successfully beat their cancers with. My Dad is now 9 years, and a quadruple bypass out. Medicine is an inexact science, my friend. You can do this. God's speed and huge best wishes. If you are interested in more info, just PM me and I'll give you any info I have.
